I'm tired...

....of the numbness and tingling, the burning sensation and cramping and weakness of my hand(s). I'm so fed up with dropping things because of a decreased grip strenght, the shooting pain in my hand and forearm. And I'm scared of 'atrophy' (wasting) of my hand muscles. So it's time to have the CTS surgery on my right hand (first).

Today I had my 'general state of health' tests -blood, lungs, heart- and the actual surgery is on monday 26th.  I've asked my surgeon for local anaesthesia but he thinks it would be very uncomfortable because of the tourniquet which is applied to the upper arm and which is inflated strongly so no blood can go to the hand. 

I hate general anaesthesia!  But I trust my surgeon.

Happy Spring!

On the first day of spring Jemima is dreaming about the Easter Bunny.  She says they are related. I'm not sure she's entirely telling the truth, though.

Dixie & Nixie...

... came home from their spa this morning.  I sent them to Caroline of Viridian House and I'm SO in awe.  Their faces are absolutely beautiful and so detailed.  

If people get nervous to send their dollies out for a spa, they should definitely send them to Caroline, nothing to be nervous about! ;-)
